The Nurubian is an independent, self-funded library, and publication dedicated to curating and sharing an ongoing exploration of the African Diaspora by The Nurubian Institute. We aim to uncover and celebrate the rich narratives of an emerging and rapidly growing global community, bringing together diverse perspectives from over 3,000 tribes and 1.4 billion people.
Our principles are not to take sides or promote political ideologies but to broaden the horizons of our audience. We aim to foster understanding of cultures beyond our own and inspire a curiosity for wisdom that transcends boundaries.
Through our work, we seek to elevate stories, ideas, hopes, and dreams, with the hope that they might one day become reality.

We’re a dedicated, independent team working across borders, inspired by a passion to share various diverse African cultures with the world. We hope to build a platform that values curiosity, diplomacy, design, and community—to elevate understanding of African socio-economic and cultural insights.
We’re looking for minds and spirits that resonate with our mission and want to help us grow, innovate, and reach new heights in storytelling and cultural impact.
Visit our Join Us page to explore opportunities. We periodically seek talent on a seasonal basis. When we’re recruiting, you’ll find announcements and application details there.
